Breakfast has gone up 75 cents at the track

Regularly on Sundays for the past five years Stan and Kathleen have enjoyed the Canterbury Feast breakfast at the Canterbury Park card club: Hash browns, two eggs, sausage patties or links, orange slice, coffee and refills, bottomless juice, toasted bagel with cream cheese,  $6. Today, our regular waiter Melissa (left) apologetically announced that there have been some changes to the menu. The price of the Canterbury Feast has risen to $6.75. Above, an outraged customer reviews his options.
A stern letter has been addressed to Randy Sampson, president of
Canterbury Park, demanding that breakfast price increases be announced
at least a month in advance, and then phased in.
