Look out, Al's Breakfast

This is the World Headquarters of The Holy Spirit Coffee Shop at 225 San Francisco Street in old Santa Fe. The guy with the headband is the owner, president and coffeemaker in a shop that must be 5 foot by 5 foot.

He used to have a Coffee Cart on the veranda of the nearby El Dorado hotel, but they kicked him out when they did some remodeling. Those papers hanging down in front of the counter are from customers all over the world, testifying to his good coffee and spirit.

There is only room for two customers (or one customer and a photographer with a camera held over his head) at a time.

Stan got the $2 regular cup of coffee, (it was very good) and Kathleen had a chocolate and whipped cream creation and President Bill called her "baby" when he served it up.

There's a Starbucks a few doors down. They had no comment on the competition.
