Mom hurt herself last night. She slipped and fell on the ice. She does not believe she broke anything, she thinks she stretched her muscles.
She spent the night in her chair and slept okay, but they are taking her to Douglas County Hospital by ambulance today, so we will soon know more. She has some pain, is taking Tylenol, but mostly she is discouraged. Anna, her caregiver, is with her and watching the house.
Mother wants the Easter Party at her house to go on as planned ("I need you to come more than ever now") though she is not sure she will be there. The usual catered food is scheduled to arrive around noon, I think. She is disappointed that she won't be able to sing in church this weekend, of course.
Hopefully the 18 family members planning to come to Alexandria for Easter will still come and we can rotate through the hospital to visit her. I know she is looking forward to that. Who knows? She may be home by then.
