Major preparations are under way in anticipation of the arrival of Linda and the Rev. Ron Letnes for a dinner in their honor at the prestigious Chang Bang in the fabulous Minneapolis Midtown Exchange tonight.Guests will begin arriving at 6 p.m. Anticipated tonight are Virgil and Becky Rolfsrud with one child; Shana and Erik Erickson with one child; Stan and Kathleen Rolfsrud and their child; Maybe Missy and one child; Stevie Letnes, Dan Neilson and other dignitaries are expected as well. Mayor R. T. Rybak has been tabbed for the invocation, but has asked to leave early to quell a disturbance on the north side. Ted Mondale will drive.
This event is doubly spectacular because it is rare that Virgil can be seen venturing this close to the inner city. He will drive the wife's car, of course, and split at the first sign of hostile Democrats. A special guard, LaTesha, (pictured) has been assigned to his table.
