In search of baby's new shoesShoe shopping was on our list of things to do with Emily today, and what better place than Nordstrom's at the Mall of America? Emily has been to the mall before. All the noise and bustle does frighten her a little. Grandpa gets a little scared too.
But we put all that aside and went right to work, and found our new shoes, sized right, that will flex with her little feet.We'll have a complete photographic report coming up, of course. And, speaking of shoes, we'll soon complete the report on Nils Rolfsrud's built-up shoe (photo below) that we saw at the Rolfsrud Reunion. Sosie inquired about the details and we have some of them to share.
The worn out shoe aptly reflects the persistent struggles and courage of our immigrant grandparents. It is treasured and on display in Watford City's museum.
