Mina Daly, Adrian Peterson in training

Our neighbor, Mina Daly, adjusted her high tech therapy device today after undergoing arthroscopic surgery for a ligament tear in the right shoulder. The device, with the brand name, Game Ready, intermittently compresses and chills her shoulder, hastening healing.

Meanwhile, across town, Minnesota Vikings rookie sensation, Adrian Peterson, did the same thing. Peterson has a partial tear of his lateral collateral ligament but won't need surgery.

Two weeks ago Peterson set an all-time NFL rushing record, then was side-lined with his injury, which was possibly the biggest fan disappointment since Herschel Walker.

Peterson bought himself a Game Ready training device just like Mina's to assure the quickest possible return to work. Likewise, Mina believes she'll be ready to throw in time for spring training.

In addition, Mina, a retired health professional, has fired up a high-tech device to measure and dispense Novocain automatically to her wound.

Good luck to both of them.
