Don't these two look great? Beverly Rolfsrud's eldest, Rebecca Jerdee, a nouveux Floridian, braved the winter wind and snow last weekend to spend time with her family in the frozen north. Becky is retired after a career with Meredith Publishing in Des Moines, and now spends most of her time near a beach with her husband in Venice, Florida. You can keep up with their doings at their family blog, linked below. Becky helped Mom celebrate Saturday at the Clearwater Suites in Alexandria. Mom will be 88 on May 23.
Meanwhile, over in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Mom's niece, Joyce Schulte and her husband, George, spotted seven deer in the backyard last week. The snow cover has made it difficult for them to feed, so they're on the prowl for tender shoots wherever they can be found. Joyce is the daughter of Mom's brother, the late Ralph Brown, and a regular reader of the family blog.
The photo, above, was taken by Joyce's niece, Nancy Clary.
