Emily's big surprise for Grandpa tonight was that she can now write! The almost three-year-old demonstrated her proficiency with a pen, knocking off letters in a kind of cursive and spelling her name for an appreciative audience.
Not sure if she'll be a journalist or a novelist. . . but she'll have stories to tell. It was great seeing her and her mother, Melissa, again after two months away.
