When Stan left Tucson Wednesday, he did not abandon the tile project, he left it in the capable hands of Enrico and Ruben.
Today Ruben reported from the shower stall: "Project looks great. The main floor and the counter is done. Still some work left on the shower. Came up short of 12/12 tiles. Purchased some, but didn't match close enough. Will continue to search. Framing of window in the shower involved a lot of cuts, but it is coming out nicely."
The Oyster grout on the Lugano tiles looks great, he says. Really brings in the tones.
Tomorrow Enrico will bring his digital camera to the job site, take a few snaps, and email them to Rolfsrud@gmail.com
We'll post them here immediately, to the apparent delight of some readers who were hooked on the progress and disappointed to see the tile project interrupted.
