Now, take the shower
Enrico is in the shower with 12/12 tiles in a brick bond pattern. This should work nicely with the main floor's pinwheel style, complementing the visual movement. It's warmer in Tucson today, but not sure if it is muscle shirt weather. Enrico tackled the easiest wall first, it only has a niche to work around. The others have windows or a shower head to frame out. Plenty to do.
Photo at left will be submitted to Tile Man's Monthly for possible use in their "tile guy of the month" feature.
The shower floor, when he gets to it, will be a mat of 2x2 tiles, bordered by 6/6s, and gently sloping to the center drain.
At the opposite end, the shower top will be crowned with a row of 6x6s capping the 12x12 bond you see in the photo, thereby closing the circle.
