Your blog hosts jumped into the Rendezvous this morning for a quick trip to the annual Volks March up the Crazy Horse monument in South Dakota. It's the only time of the year you can actually walk on the 62-year-old statue-in-progress. We'll spend the night in nearby Custer. On a tight schedule, we may swing through the Badlands (above) but bypass the famed Wall Drug (right). Birdie won't be making this trip, (no pets or rock throwing allowed on the Volks March) she's being pampered at Aunt Laurie's in Prior Lake. It's a six-mile hike up and down the mountain; we may have some blisters. You know we'll have some pictures. Home Saturday night. Here's what it looked like to Stan five years ago. Yes, those are hikers standing on the outstretched arm (Click to zoom).
