Our four-year-old showed up for a Friday overnight all dressed up like a preppy, so we had to take her picture, of course. She's carrying Shel Silverstein's old standby, a favorite of our girls: The Giving Tree. Off camera, her grandma keeps telling her to smile naturally, waving a polka-dot balloon, and grandpa won't stop flashing away.
