Perhaps inspired by her Aunt Linda's dutiful and wonderful husband, Ron, today Jennifer assigned Joe to a hair heat-setting detail, the last step in a complex straightening regimen that has her mother, who loves Jen's curls, somewhat perplexed. For decades now, "Mr. Ron" has curled and set his wife's hair, with nary a whimper, receiving admiration from some and teasing from others. This arrangement allows Linda to travel extensively with her hairdresser always at hand. "Mr. Joe's" services today were judged adequate for a beginner, and in a turnabout and payoff, he got a free haircut from Jennifer.
