Emily and Kaia met for the first time today and it went very well. ("She's beautiful, I kissed her," answered Emily after Kaia's departure.) There's a couple years between these second cousins, but they both like eating, tea parties, tinker toys and making faces into the computer, so what else is there? Ford brought Kaia over for a morning play date, then back home for 1 p.m. nap time. Everything is indoors today. Looks like 100 plus and humid outside. Everybody, including Birdie -- who spent most of the morning in a laundry-room time-out --, has agreed to do this again soon.
