Tuesday regulars, Stan and Dave, met Stan's brother Steve and his wing man, Herman, for a round of golf at the prestigious Creeks Bend National in New Prague today. The midday weather was about right, a light sprinkle gave way to partly cloudy skies. The ruthless Mankato pair arrived early at the neutral site, putting, plotting and practicing enough to ultimately outshine the industrious Shakopee boys, who came later, because of morning chores.
After the round, a cold pitcher of summer ale and platter of burgers in the clubhouse barn settled matters somewhat, with a solemn resolution to do it all over again soon.
Steve golfs regularly with Herman in Mankato. They are presently entangled in a summer-long death-match. Little progress in that regard was made today.
