The vintage garage doors on the Church of Good Poker were kept wide open this beautiful day on Rowena Avenue in LA.
The faithful gathered in the fellowship hall for a cash game of Texas Hold 'em and to renew friendships after a winter hiatus. Eager parishioners streamed in all afternoon, some early, some late, ready to partake in the action coordinated by host, Hat Daddy.
Fast Eddie, Reckless, Trip Queen (in from Minneapolis for the weekend) and St. Paul Katie got the game started and were soon joined by Doc and EPG.

Honoring H.D.'s Pastor Papa
Laredo showed up too, but he had been under the knife just three days ago for a cardiac situation, so he just socialized casually today, avoiding possible lethal adrenalin jolts --- like when you flop the nuts. Meanwhile, his good wife had the most exciting hand of the day: EPG drew Quad Ducks, which was enough to top the Trip Queen's full house and create the undisputed Bad Beat of the Day.
