Yesterday it was Sandy's turn. . .

Our neighbor Sandy went under the knife for a knee operation (not a replacement) yesterday and she's doing fine today, under the loving care of her faithful husband, Tom. (In the photo above, Sandy and Tom greeted Kathleen a year ago after her knee replacement.)
We were happy to get this note today:

Hi,
Just a quick note to let you know that my knee surgery went well. I'm keeping it iced and elevated.
Nurse Tom is doing a good job fixing meals, keeping my water pitcher filled, ice pack changed and taking care of my every need.
Thanks for your good thoughts and prayers. I enjoyed my time with all of you Wednesday evening.
