Alexandria took first and second place yesterday in its state cross country meet at the beautiful St. Olaf College course in Northfield, thanks to sisters, Bethany and Megan Hasz, shown here with their coach, Mark Nelson.

Tom Obert writes: Alex's Bethany Hasz edged out her identical twin sister, Megan, who finished 2nd. As a tandem this year, Megan usually wins, but they're always within a second or two of each other - and they set course records everywhere they ran this year. Bethany is the first girl from Alex to win the state cross country meet, and we believe they are the first sisters, and first teammates, to ever finish 1 - 2. And they're just sophomores:
