If you’ve ever served in the Armed Forces, you slept under one of their blankets. Founded in 1865, the Faribault Woolen Mill Co has had contracts with the government to keep soldiers warm under their woolen blankets. We’ve driven past for years saying “we ought to look in there some time.” Today we did. Displayed in the company store was a panoply of items, some historic, some kitsch. It was a fun stop on a beautiful day. There are tours available. . . but that might be taking it a little far.
