The Briggsy spirit is back! Several friends stopped in again and reinforced that spirit for her.
We think that Briggs was ready to be discharged tonight. However, Briggs is in a Level 1 Trauma unit and with all of the unfortunate new admissions that occurred today--with those new admissions clearly having the highest priority vis-a-vis discharge assessments--they were not able to get to her case for discharge procedures.
The bottom line is: we were sent home about 8:00 tonight and she stays one more night. But we left her while she was watching a Bill Cosby movie on a portable DVD (having skillfully negotiated a trade with Bill with her "Friends" DVD).
Nancy and I will be returning to St. Paul Monday late afternoon and we anticipate that she will be returning home with us by late tomorrow night.
If Briggs does get home tomorrow (Monday), we'll post information on when she might be able to take calls and visitors.
Meanwhile, back in Mankato, Breck's boyfriend, Mitch (photo), kindly installed Wi-Fi internet service in our home. Breck's sister will now be able to email family and friends from a wireless laptop anywhere in the house.Haircut and a pizza for Bill
Bill's status remains excellent--although he has been taking flack for the haircut. He and his mother shared a pizza tonight instead of the usual fare. He had been out and about so much (including visiting Briggsy and some of their friends who stopped in) that he missed the nutrition order routine. We expect that he will be discharged either Monday or Tuesday but don't hold us to that.
