Hi Mom,
Virgil tells us you might be reading the blog these days from your new place at the Clearwater Suites. I hope you are.
Today Kathleen met your daughter, Linda, at the Rosedale Mall with serious intentions of major procurements. Linda drove herself there after Shana coached her on a special route, sort of a backdoor approach down Lexington Avenue.
Kathleen did not return tonight until half past suppertime. She did bring some angel food cake, strawberries and Cool Whip along with a report that significant acquisitions had been made. . . on your behalf. Yes, mother, your personal shoppers were hard at it today. I cannot reveal the actual purchases made, but get your checkbook ready when they are delivered later this month.
Hint: Kathleen said it was a very successful trip. She enjoys shopping with Linda, but then, who wouldn't? Linda is a major league shopper. For Kathleen to say she enjoys shopping with Linda would be like me saying I would enjoy golfing with Tiger Woods.
Kathleen did pull the trigger on a smart-looking fall jacket for herself.
I would like to say that I spent the day re-staining the hot tub. See the before and after picture above. I did not.
Brother Steve was here promptly for a 9 a.m. tee time and we worked over Stonebrooke for four hours plus lunch. Anyway, we had a great day of it. Fall is here and there was just the right amount of chill in the air. We look forward to continuing our round in Arizona this winter.
Becky will be seeing you soon. I had hoped to post a summary of Becky and Al's trip to Germany by now, but Becky seems to have a full plate right now, at least that's what a recent note indicated. Maybe Adam and Kim Jerdee could gather some of their photos and notes and send them on on their behalf.
Hope you're feeling well and continue to enjoy your new home.
Stan
