Integrating and trimming the new door into the adjacent library cabinet turned in to a bit of a chore. Using left-over trim from the discarded unit, plus two pieces of new MDF, the new door is now seamlessly joined and trimmed to the wall and cabinet with a logical break between copper mountain and white.
There is still some copper mountain touch-up to do, but other than that, anybody who doesn't like the final result can go ahead and upgrade it himself, with a small fine levied for obnoxious anal retention.
Billable materials: $9 for MDF. Paint on hand. Glue too.
