We hope this next item brings a small comfort to our northern brethren: It snowed today in Tucson. And it snowed hard. In nearby Oracle, they got up to a foot. People left work early to celebrate. Before long, most was gone, of course, but the mountain reaches are still covered. And more good news. It is 30 degrees in Minneapolis and only nine degrees warmer in Tucson at this moment. Kathleen captured these images out back. Tonight city crews are squirting brine on the bridges to prevent icing during the morning rush hour. Slippery streets create horrible results in these parts. We won't be going out amongst the natives. We'll bring the petunias inside for the night.
