Twilight in the Catalinas

Stan and Kathleen took a nature drive in the golf cart tonight, watching the wildlife take over the evening. Usually we can find mule deer feeding on the driving range, but not tonight. So we turned left, and surprised a small herd on No. 12.

We spoke softly for a few minutes to the sweet, gentle creatures and made their pictures. Eventually, the lead buck ambled up the ridge, glanced back, then gave us his twilight silhouette, as though he knew exactly what we wanted.

Then he moved on.
