Stan's sister, Linda Rolfsrud Letnes, celebrates a birthday today. The recently retired school teacher lives with her husband, Ron, in Blaine, Minnesota.
Our world traveler is busy planning her next foray (a family trip with the grand kids, etc. into the western reaches of the U.S. -- just like you see in the movies with Chevy Chase) and we wish her all the happiness that travel and family can engender.
However, since she and her hard-driving husband still hold the land speed record for driving non-stop from Fort Collins, Colorado, to Alexandria, Minnesota, in 1994, may we boldly offer this advice: Take plenty of breaks, stop at the rest stops, and smell lots of roses. And if there aren't any roses, by all means, stop and see the world's largest frying pan or that farmer's big ball of twine preserved in the city square.

Happy Birthday, Lambie.
(That was Mom's nickname for her. Beverly is shown above enjoying a recent visit from Linda at Mom's Clearwater Suites home.)
