A mere ten inches of blowing snow didn't deter the merrymakers at Danny Martin's scotch-tasting party last night. A full house enjoyed the hospitality of Danny's Savage hosts, who opened their beautiful home to Dan's prestigious annual event. A full complement of single malt scotch whiskys greeted the 35 attendees, with Headmaster Martin describing the virtues of each to his eager students.
Last night's featured scotch was a $250 bottle of cask-strength Dalwhinnie, produced in 1973 at the distillery perched at the highest elevation in Scotland, just to be opened and savored last night by Minnesota "Scots" during a December snow storm.
