Sosie's workmen are in her kitchen, measuring, cutting and doing constructive things. Our conductor orchestrates from her i-podium, calling upon each section to do its part in a symphony of pots and pans, tiles, ovens, stained glass and countertops. And now, the next movement:
Sosie writes:Kevin the electrician came and verified that, yes, we have the amps needed to induct and, yes, he can even unscramble our messy breaker box while he's at it. Great! Just get the downdraft and oven out of his way. His (thinner and younger) assistant, Josh, is ready to go under our house, despite warnings of scorpions, black widows, and tarantulas.
Next up is Mark, who is creating the template (see picture) that tells the Duracite crew the size and shape of our Sandalwood Corian countertops. We check our lists twice to ensure that edgings and covings and installations are per promised by Costco, our abiding hero in all this.
Bill is upstairs ordering the stainless steel corbels to support the counter overhang, as approved by Mark.
I've sent off pictures to Ron of Strong Roll Outs to determine if he can provide three drawers, matched to existing 1986 Cabinets (be still my anxious heart) to fit the void left by the old oven.
Michael, Veronica (she walked us thru color and plumbing choices in Fairfield), Kevin, Josh, and Ron. The list of elves expands. I must call Marie, our stained-glass magician, about glass stove-top backslashes. Then to the tile store.

Mark writes notes in red on his template to further inform the fabricators about finishing details, like edging or orientation. |
