Spring prom memories

Emily's birthday party dinner, originally planned for Ciao Bella tonight, was moved to the nearby Crave restaurant because a crush of prom-goers will be taking over Ciao Bella tonight. The mild disruption made us think of our three daughters and the excitement and stir of their elaborate prom arrangements.

A recent viewing of a classic John Singer Sargent painting (right) also evoked memories of a black-gowned prom-goer not so long ago.
