The worst way to look at color, of course, is on a computer monitor, but what the hey, you get the idea. It's very nice. The Smoked Oyster should bring down the ceiling for an intimate feel, while the lighter Oatland Subtle Taupe will reflect the warmth of candlelight.
We wrapped the natural gray in the hall around the corner because it was the only logical place to stop. The butler pantry will be Smoked Oyster on one side and the kitchen's Natural Gray on the other.
Meanwhile, outside the patio gang is laying out pathways. There's not a straight line to be found, which is just the way we like it. There's a jackhammer going on too, not for the concrete, but for the soil, so we can bury the gas, water and electric to the future outdoor kitchen.
Trying to plan ahead before the concrete sets.
Slow down.
The cement truck won't be here until tomorrow. We've got 12 hours to adjust the layout.
Imagine this as a green oasis where the sun shines every day. And you'll never winterize the water line. |
