| We got a deal on the purple wallboard. Anti-mold, it's designed for wet spaces and it is sold in a 4x8 sheet for $16 and it won't fit in the SUV. But there was a busted sheet on sale for $7. We cut our piece out and left the scraps. |
We cut a hole for the sink and installed the countertops this afternoon. They haven't been finished yet, but the first coat of food safe mineral oil went on today. (We got that at the drugstore. It's actually baby oil without the perfume, soaks right in.) Tomorrow the faucet and maybe the dishwasher. Then the tile backsplashes and under cabinet lights.Update: Installed the faucet and the drain assembly. Awaiting final connections and seals by qualified plumber, who will show up after his real job tonight.
This faucet is for right-handers. Sorry Tom.
