The world famous Audubon Zoo is a couple blocks from our place in New Orleans so Stan dropped by today and bought a "Senior Plus" membership, the idea being to use the zoo pathways for regular exercise.
Because it's in the 40s here, no one was in the zoo today -- except the animals. But the layout is incredible, very long on birds, with an enclosed aviary and big ponds that invite migrating birds to pass through this way.
Of course there's the usual lions and tigers and giraffes, so you'll forgive us if, from time to time, we post some animal portraits here. Did we mention the spider monkeys?
