An update on Steve and Nancy's daughter
and son-in-law Briggs and Bill Siitari who were in a car accident in early June in St. Paul.

What a difference a month makes!

Dear family and friends:
What a difference a month can make! The photos show Briggs two days after the accident compared to today.
Last week Briggs had her neck brace removed. The skull/neck fractures have fully healed. The neurosurgeon has a mild concern about spine curvature changes during the healing process so she will follow-up in early August.
She walks without the walker. She can make it around the block with only mild soreness. She continues her physical therapy. She has a re-check in late July to confirm that her pelvic fractures are completely healed.
Yes, they're going to Boston. . .

Her dizziness, nausea and headaches all seem well under control, and she has discontinued virtually all medication. She sleeps about 12 hours a day, and her circadian clock is off by about four hours, but without the neck brace she is much more comfortable.
The College of St. Catherine has been most gracious in its flexibility to allow Briggs to return to her work. And Briggs and Bill are finalizing their plans to move to Boston the end of August so that Briggs can attend Harvard graduate school this fall. KPMG has very considerately approved Bill's transfer to Boston for September 1, right on schedule for their move.
We want to thank everybody for their interest and support.
