This big elk was taken by David Rolfsrud recently, just 20 miles west of the Rolfsrud Ranch in western North Dakota. David is the son of our cousin, Harold Rolfsrud. The picture was supplied by David's wife, Gena, (an accomplished hunter in her own right) and then forwarded here by David's brother, Guy, of Cottonwood, Minnesota. This is all we know. We didn't get the name of the elk.
