Insisting that beds of cheery Marigolds will be just the thing in the back yard, Farmer Steve sowed a half-dozen packets of seeds onto lovingly prepared soil this morning.Eternally optimistic, Steve is hopeful that the seeds will sprout and deliver a happy, colorful note to the desert back yard.
He is also a realist, labeling his own effort as "A Fool's Errand." His brother agreed. The numerous rabbits populating the area don't think so and are delighted with the effort, as they await their chance in the wings.Somewhere it is written that bunnies don't eat Marigolds.
We shall see.
