Tucson hosts the World's Largest Gem Show about this time every year. This is the first time we've made it. A rainy day provided the perfect excuse to stop at three of the dozens of bead and mineral exhibitions, spread through the metro area. First we dropped Steve (bitterly disappointed at not being able to join us) at the shuttle station for his flight home today.
Then we took on the closest venues, using our handy-dandy newspaper guide. At the second stop, Marcy hit the jackpot, spotting some items she fancied at one tenth the cost at a conventional Gem store back home.
Her gift items will pack nicely when she departs tomorrow. Kathleen was 
looking for gift items as well, didn't come up with any, but the show continues through the week.
