Dallas, and Lorlee's little trees, are under siege

Lorlee's greenery bending under the weight of freezing rain. Pretty, hopefully not deadly.
Upon hearing that Dallas was in the midst of a nasty winter storm, we emailed the newly-retired Lorlee Bartos, one of the city's more illustrious residents, reminding her that she could just as well stay indoors today and avoid the troubles plaguing her adopted town.
She has already been outside, tending to the situation and sent along some photos.
Here's her note this morning:
Advice heard and will be heeded.
Been out this morning trying to save the little trees. Those that still had leaves are bending under the weight of all the ice -- 1/4 to 1/2 inch and it is still raining. The forecast is that it won't be above freezing until Sunday afternoon. Fortunately, I have power and plenty of food and books.
