Another senior advantage. . . .

Rainy day reading.
This is the most photographed fountain in the state.
Mary got a picture to add to the collection.
John couldn't remember if he has ever read John Sanford's "Wicked Prey," before, but that didn't matter this morning when he checked out a copy, using Stan's newly-minted Scottsdale library card.
"When you get to be a certain age," he explained with a smile, "you can read a book all over again and it is just like you're reading it for the first time."
Our fun-loving neighbors arrived on Sun Country from Minnesota last night, but it was raining this morning so we delayed our get-acquainted walk through Old Town and went to check out the beautiful public library instead. The sun came out soon enough though, plenty of time for some fine art galleries and some ticky-tacky shops, before moving on to the Fifth Avenue area.
There's plenty more to explore and we have allowed plenty of time to do it.
Auto aficionado John has been lobbying to go to the nearby world-famous Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auto Auction tomorrow evening. That choice may end up being a split decision. We'll see.

Stan and John donned traditional costumes for this fun shot with their lovely dates,
Katie and Mary, at the prestigious Ortega Gallery.
