Signs of spring

Yes, many of you in other parts of the country have lots of these signs, but here in the tundra a bit of early green sedum is a welcome sight. This morning's walk drew an eye to these beginnings, sure to thrill us later in the year.

We are equally hungry for these signs. Had a sunny day today and we could see the trees are starting to bloom finally. And little green sprouts of this and that are appearing. It's amazing that those sedum make it at all in your climate!

i can't believe march is gone and it is this cold and muddy. I guess the Arctic blob will stay a while longer as well, so you may beat us to this spring thing.

pS--just to make you feel better, Mt. Baker a few miles to the north still has 235 feet of snow.
