Dear family and friends:
Briggs is eating like she hadn't eaten for a week, which she hadn't; sleeps comfortably about 14 hours of the day, with her best waking time being from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; has been e-mailing and making and taking a few calls; checking something called her Facebook page--something an old guy like me knows nothing about; has a number of books lined up for reading, and persuaded her parents to rejoin Netflix.
The only bad part of her day is the twice daily self-administered injections needed to avoid blood clotting. (She counted her visible bruises today at 15.) Apparently the injections must continue for several months.
And she misses her husband.
Bill remains with his parents in Buffalo and is doing very well. He's gotten a buzzcut to diminish any unnecessary--but fun--comments about his recent asymmetric haircut. The stitches from his craniotomy will be removed soon. He has a previously unnoticed red remnant in the eye that had the shiner that needs to be checked out. But he's ready for a reunion with his bride.
They each have their cell phones back, and have a new month's worth of minutes, so feel free to give them a call:
Briggs 612 695 9969
Bill 612 327 7979
(Bill just retrieved his cell phone from the car at the salvage yard so it may not be charged up yet. If there is no answer, give him a call at his parents' number, 763 682 1542.)
Thanks.
Steve
