After being married for 27 years and raising three daughters, Grandpa Stan has succumbed to this ultimate truth: Women will shop. That's just the way it is. Accept it. It apparently fulfills a deep-seated need buried in the gene pool. 
We're assuming Emily has those very genes, so in the spirit of healthy child development and adjustment, we took a field trip this afternoon to look at some things for a remodeling job in Jordan, Minnesota, that Grandpa has to set up.We made a slight detour to the children's section where the colors and styles are designed to make Grandmas and Grandpas melt.
Congratulations IKEA.
No shopping trip is complete without doing lunch, so we did just that. Then back home before rush hour, and right on time, Missy showed up to gather up her child. Grandma and Grandpa waved good bye and agreed it had indeed been an excellent day.
