Bulletin: There's still plenty of ice in Canada

It's warm enough to melt  butter in the cabin tonight; Matt stoked a welcoming fire for the Minnesota newcomers. The lake ice has receded enough to allow Gordy (left) to land the float plane perfectly, but not so much that there wasn't plenty left to chop for a celebratory Whiskey Manhattan.
We've arrived safely at the Ontario Wildlife Observation Outpost (OWOO). In return for a tumbler of Maker's Mark, Camp Go-to-Man John has revealed the password to the camp wifi, so we'll uplink here from time to time.
