Hai and Katie looked directly into the nest
from just outside the kitchen door. |
We were delighted to spy four robin eggs nestled in a bush just beneath our back deck this morning, a surprisingly close and convenient vantage point from which to observe the unfolding of the classic springtime miracle. Mrs. Robin watched warily nearby as we studied the perfect orbs of promised life, warmed and cared for by Mother's Love. We'll monitor the fragile situation, trying not to be a nuisance, as our mother (and father) cope with the unending stress of parenthood.

basement door in the midst of daily
in-and-out dog traffic. Go figure.
Maybe Mrs. R felt safe from
predators there. We hope so. |
